Trick or Treat 2007 in Pictures

(Sorry if I indulge you with another late post. I only got to upload the pictures today.)

Zoe participated in her very first Trick or Treat held in our very own village. Even at 14 months, I think she enjoyed seeing the kids on the block and the loots too! She got a little scared of the kids in Halloween costumes at first but warmed up some time after.

We didn't get her any more costume because we weren't sure if she would last 5 minutes wearing it. Instead, we used a black gowny dress which was given to her by Tito Richie on her baptismal day.

They were asked to group together because the Trick or Trick will be ala-Amazing Race type. Tasks will be given before you can proceed to your next clue and location. Since Zoe is just saling-ket-ket, we made her join my kinanapatid's kids - Kyle, Ken, Keanna and Kelly.
They're a cute and intelligent bunch!

This is the first task - finding your supplies among the bushes in the plaza and putting colored glitters to the village's homeowner's association logo.

Mommy and baby ready to do some trick or treating around the village...Zoe's got a cute black spider loot bag which matches her black gown. :-)

Zoe didn't stay until the end because she was one tired baby. We went home already after going around the village. We weren't able to join in the mini-salu salo na in the Chapel.
And guess who enjoyed the goodies the most? ....mommy!

Caution: Loaded with pictures!!! Everything was set for Zoe's 2nd birthday party. We initially invited only a few close family and friends but then our guest list ballooned up to more than 60 people on the day before. No regrets because it turned out to be so much fun! First, the FOOD! We asked the help of my SIL to cook kare-kare and kalderata while our Ate Nilda prepared molo soup, spaghetti, hotdog on stick and fruit medley. My Ninang pitched in and made some leche flan while I made peach & mango ref cake and some canapes (with egg salad) which was a HIT (thanks Anne for the tip!). Health is Wealth

Health is definitely wealth. It may sound like an old saying but it's true. We've already lost some relatives and friends to cancer and how I wish I could have helped them avoid getting sick or at least to helped them to feel better and get well during those grueling days and months of sickness. One of the bad encounters we've had with cancer was the case of my dear grandmother. I still remember the time my grandmother arrived from the province. I had just seen her a few weeks before that and she was somewhat feeling weak already because of something we didn't know about yet. I guess she couldn't take the pain anymore her so she decided to come to us to get further medical treatment from the doctors here in the city. We immediately had her checked by the doctor and prayed for her to get well. If I had know about alternative cancer treatments , I would have suggested to my family going to an alternative cancer center where my grandma could undergo an alternative can...

Simple Celebration - 8th Anniversary

 My pregnancy condition did not allow us to celebrate/dine out on our wedding anniversary this year. But Hunny tried to make that day special for us still by making it a pizza and cake night, not just for the the two of us but for the whole family. :-) Love you dad!
