Oh No! Baby has Scars!

Image
Zoe has been getting so many bites and cuts on her legs lately that I'm worried... I really want to get a hold of this already ~~~ Thanks Tita Josie for buying it for Zoe! See you and Nina soon! :-)

Blogging Again

I have been itching to blog again for the past days but family and work have taken priority over this favorite hobby of mine. Anyway, I'm just taking a quick break (to blog a little) before tackling again the mountains of work waiting for me to conquer. I could just hear this blog crying for updates. It's also waiting forever for my definitive decision whether to get that web hosting services for it so that it could finally be a domain on itself. Honestly, I'm really so inclined to finally make this site a web-hosted site. Not only will it be an "authentic" blog but also with the services that I can get, I think I'll be a able to do so much more as far as design and theme are concerned. What do you think? Anyway, how was your weekend everybody? Ours was quite uneventful. On Saturday morning, we just had a quick trip to the grocery to replenish our stocks (Holy Week is fast approaching and we may not have time to do the grocery anymore). Then at noon time, we

The Day

Image
Having briefed Zoe the day before that she was going to school the next morning, she woke up early shouting "School! School!". As usual on a Saturday morning, I dressed her up immediately so we can go to mass first, that is, before heading for "school". It's great that for a toddler like her, you can already explain the things to her so that she knows what's happening and she knows what to expect. So after mass, we had a quick breakfast and then dressed up again to go to school. Here's a picture of her before we left the house: Excited student with proud mommy: Of course, she also got to have a picture with Dad: A new bag for her to make her all the more excited! We arrived at the Regalia Tower right on time. The trial class really went well and I'm so happy that Zoe enjoyed every minute of it. She was bidding everyone goodbye after the class~ "Bye-bye teacher! Bye-bye school!" She couldn't stop staring at her star stamps as we rode the

Zoe's Going to SCHOOL!

Image
After a long search, my hubby and I finally found a summer school for Zoe. Last Friday, I was able to enroll her to Kindermusik with Teacher Jeannie and Company. Summer starts on May 2, 2009 and it runs for 6 sessions. During the trial class, I was surprised and so glad to see a good friend there (Lingling with her son Niño). Zoe and I felt right at home. To describe Zoe's experience in one word - FUN! She was shrieking like crazy (I guess out of excitement and joy). And I love singing along with the songs and enjoying it with my baby. Of course, I also got so tired chasing the girl around (considering my present condition). She's the same at home and in school - super ingay and super likot ! But I'm so looking forward to the classes this summer. I'll post more pictures of our little adventure tomorrow (as usual, forgot my camera cable). Be back soon! *pictures c/o Teacher Jeannie's website

Loots from the US

Image
My Dad and Ninang arrived from their US vacation last week and they gave us a bunch of great loots from there. Apart from lots of clothes, toys and other stuff for Zoe, shoes and a watch for Hunny, I also received some nice stuff from them. Here are some of those great items: Thanks too to Tito Ted for sharing his blessings with us. :-)

Easy-to-Avail Personal Loans

As a wife, mother, career woman and home manager, I am always trying to juggle my time and energy to fulfill all my different roles. Embedded in one of my roles is to be the family finance manager too. As such, I need to budget, monitor our accounts and daily track our family expenses. Sadly, it is in the budgeting part that I am always problematic with. There seems to be a never-ending list of bills to pay and so limited money on hand that I am left with so little money for savings, if none at all. I would really want to rehabilitate our family savings soon. I know that I can only do this by stricter budget controls as well as getting rid of our revolving credit with our credit cards. The interest rates that credit cards are charging are so big that we really need to zero out our outstanding balances very soon. I'm actually thinking of availing Personal Loans to help me on solving this problem. From my research, I learned that if you have a Clean Personal Credit History and need

Started a Novena

Sorry for the lack of updates in this blog. As I wrote in my previous post, I've been dealing with my pregnancy condition and trying to ask for supernatural help to overcome it all. I've also started a novena, praying for a special intention of our family, to Servant of God Bishop Alvaro del Portillo . It was supposedly his 95th birthday yesterday and I found it apt to ask a birthday favor from him. :-)

At Wit's End

My recent OB appointment got me at my wit's end about my pregnancy condition. You see, I've been getting pretty high marks for my blood pressure. It's something that I didn't experienced during my first pregnancy so I really don't know what to do. At any rate, I know that God will keep me and the baby safe. In fact, I've already entrusted him/her to St. Joseph for protection. On top of this, I'm doing my own bit of research on toxemia and high blood pressure during pregnancy. I know that I need to be brave (for the baby) and at the same time very obedient to my doctor's orders for things to turn out fine. I'm watching my diet (yes, I'm trying!) and resting more. I guess this means I've got to slow down a bit on the use of the computer (that is, after I look up a thing or two about my proxy settings) and also cut back on the overtime. Thank you in advance for your prayers!

March 19 is Nearing

What's so special with March 19? Well, for us Catholics, it's the feastday of St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus. I particularly have a devotion to St. Joseph since he is a great example of obedience and of interior life. As the bible described him, Joseph was a just man. For me, he is a model for everyone to live a just life. Full of charity and love for God, he submitted to what God planned for Him and lived loving Jesus as his very own Son. Sharing here a prayer for the intercession of St. Joseph: O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms.

How Was Your Weekend?

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? As for me, I enjoyed every minute of it. I was able to get some rest and my hubby finally arrived from a 3-day business trip in Davao. I'm just so glad to see (and hug) him again. While he was out, I had to go to my doctor last Friday night. My OB told me to monitor my blood pressure (which is getting to be constantly elevated). That's bad news for me and the baby. Anyway, everything else is normal and I guess I just have to deal with my blood pressure (try to live with less stress) and pray to God that everything will be alright. On the side, I've been doing some research on the current VOIP equipment and service called the YupeePhone . I'm doing it for a friend. I am also busy with writing a short article about the Home Matters series which is organized by some good friends. I hope to finish that write-up soon because I'm way past my deadline for the newsletter (so sorry Grace!). With all these pending items, I still ha

Looking for Generous Hearts

Image
Hi dear friends - Some friends of mine and I are trying to raise some funds for a good cause which involves building a training center in the heart of Makati City for the wholistic formation of women and also for the less-fortunate women in the area who are willing to be educated in the administration of the home and other important manual tasks. In this regard, we're selling some religious products (resin) made by the inmates from Muntinlupa. We have various stuff such as this Holy Family and the statue of Mama Mary (below). In case you are looking for the perfect gift to give to friends who are celebrating their birthdays, wedding or a special anniversary, this can be a great option. Pls. leave me a message if you're interested in these items. It will help a lot in our project for women. Thanks!!!
