Pictures Can Say A Lot

Zoe: "Mommy, don't go!" Zoe: "Mommy, come home soon! I miss you!" ...enough reasons why I want to be a WAHM (hay...).

Class of '97 Dinner Date

Image
This is a late post but nevertheless, I am blogging about our Itallianni's date with college friends last, last Saturday. Edu was in town from Singapore and we decided to meet for dinner. We also took advantage of planning for our Baguio trip this weekend. Some highlights in pictures... The ever-famous Chicken Sicillian Salad. My ultimate favorite! Can somebody tell me what kind of pizza is this? Sorry, forgot. Chums Gracia and Ruby... Group picture! Coffee and dessert at Coffee Bean... See you guys this Saturday at 4am!

Control

The holiday season is really near! So many last minute shopping going on to say the least. But we all know that the times are really hard and we need to save for the rainy days. That's why I've resolved to limit all the holiday spending and concentrate on the family's needs, not the wants. Hunny, if you're reading this --- I'm already contented with what I have now so don't go buying me any expensive gift for Christmas, alright? I-cash mo na lang. LOL!

Looking for Frames

Image
I recently went to the eye doctor to have my eyes checked. It seems that my astigmatism has worsened and I also now am nearsighted. No wonder I always have migraines. Because of this change in my grade, I have been checking out $ 8 Complete Rx Eyeglasses online. Getting new frames is really out of the budget that's why I am thinking of just buying the cheapest frames around. The popular online eyeglasses shop called Zenni Optical offers great selections. There are even Holiday Glass Frames From Zenni Optical that are perfect for the season! Here's my initial pick. What do you think?

Gingersnaps Sale and Other Loots

Image
Okay. Okay. I'm posting here some more of the other loots we got from the sales we visited last Saturday. This is exclusive of the many, many toys we bought from Toys R Us which we will give to our godchildren. First off, more from the Richwell Sale. Chicco blue rubbershoes for 200 bucks only. Fashion Fever Barbie for an inaanak... Another barbie for Zoe (P150 only) ~ I was so surprised that she knew BARBIE! We have never really played with her other Barbies at home because it says in the box that it's for ages 3 or 4+ only. And being a cautious mom that I am, I don't really intend to open any of the Barbies until Zoe's a little older. We also got to buy some dinosaur toys and other gifts for inaanak. I just needed to hide them agad at baka magustuhan pa ni Zoe. Anyway, after spending a good couple of hours in Richwell, we decided to head straight to Pasig for the Gingersnaps Warehouse Sale. I remember going there a couple of times before with lots of loots after. Howe

Zoe's Gift from Santa

Image
Since Zoe has been a very good girl this year, Santa got the little girl a new Disney Princess tri-bike from Toys R Us and had it packed in a big box and gift-wrapped before it gets discovered. I'm sure Zoe will love it!!! :-)

Kids Kraze

We were among the many people who went to the Richwell Sale in Libis. I made it a point to just look for age-appropriate toys for Zoe. We also bought several gifts for some inaanaks. As for our major loot, we got her a Chicco School Desk with Drawing Board for only 3k. Here are pics to show how much this was such a good buy... What's inside this muddy box? Daddy opening the box... Zoe inspecting her new desk... Trying out the white board... Getting ready for school! :-) Love that smile!

Welcome Me Back!

Hi friends! Thank you all for all those who dropped by this blog for the past week. I really appreciate all your tags, awards, comments and messages in the chatbox. I'm actually pretty surprised that I was able to control myself from blogging for more than a week. That's a feat! Anyway, as I had blogged previously, there were a lot of things going on. I had a sort of a health scare last last week due to a weird encounter with someone. But that's more or less over now. I got my test results na and I'm more or else okay. I really don't want to blog about it here because I don't want to make any unnecessary and uncharitable comments here. I'm just glad that God is good to me most especially for giving me and my whole family good health. Okay, enough of that. I also, by the way, was out of the office the whole week to attend an annual seminar for my personal formation. Apart from learning and re-learning some important things, it was also a good time for me to r

What's Up With Me?

Well, the past fews days have been a blur... I'm dealing now with some more important issues in my life that work and blogging, I guess, need to take a back-seat (eventhough there are still soooo many things to do, including unfinished opps). But this is only momentary because I'm sure God will show the way and bring back the old (happy and bloggy) me in no time. Anyway, looking at the brighter side of things, I'm glad to realize that it's already our Christmas bonus tomorrow and then I've been approved to go on a week-long leave next week. :-)

Happiness is...

Lala's Birthday Celeb

Image
My good friend Lala treated us out to dinner at Green Tomato in Shangri-La Plaza last Thursday. It was our first time there so I thought I'd take some pics (what's new?). It was perfect timing for her to bring us there because we were trying to eat healthier this week after eating too much unhealthy stuff last weekend... Risotto with prawns (or is it just hibi?) for Hunny: Chicken and Mushroom Pasta for me: Sun-dried Tomato something-something for Lala (sorry, I forgot the name): >>but sure was yummy! For sharing ~ Pepperoni Pizza (got my two thumbs up!): It was a super fun dinner because we enjoyed teasing Lala about the developments in her social (errr...love?) life. Wishing you more years of good health and happiness Lala! Thanks for the treat! p.s. Btw, if you are looking for tickets to the Hairspray thing this November, Lala is selling some tickets. Just make a comment so I can give you the details.

Be Innovative and Be Rich

I read in a book somewhere during my MBA days that "Innovation is the specific instrument of entrepreneurship. It is the act that endows resources with a new capacity to create wealth.” (Peter F. Drucker) I believe in this and have seen in the life stories of many CEOs and visionaries such as Jim Piccolo , among others. The spirit of innovation in any endeavor can be really be the key to unprecedented success in any business. That is what I want to aim for too ever since I graduated from MBA. As you can see at present, there are so many innovative ideas that reached mainstream industry level due to the ambition and creative efforts of people like Jim Piccolo and many other heads of companies. So it’s not impossible to dream big when you have a good innovative product or service to offer, right? Likewise, there’s still light at the end of the tunnel for many companies even if the world-wide economy seems to be going downhill now. Traditional companies may fail while creative and i

We're Going to Baguio!

Image
My UP friends and I are planning on making a family trip to Baguio this coming November 29 to December 1! Yehey! It's gonna be a very first long trip together (I don't think our trip to Tanay and Subic eons ago count). Anyway, it's going to be pretty exciting with kids and yayas running around. This will be Zoe and yaya's first time in Baguio too so I'm glad. I hope it REALLY pushes through.

No Need to Say Goodbye...

Regina Spektor - The Call lyrics It started out as a feeling Which then grew into a hope Which then turned into a quiet thought Which then turned into a quiet word And then that word grew louder and louder Til it was a battle cry I'll come back When you call me No need to say goodbye Just because everything's changing Doesn't mean it's never Been this way before All you can do is try to know Who your friends are As you head off to the war Pick a star on the dark horizon And follow the light You'll come back When it's over No need to say good bye You'll come back When it's over No need to say good bye.. Now we're back to the beginning It's just a feeling and no one knows yet But just because they can't feel it too Doesn't mean that you have to forget Let your memories grow stronger and stronger Til they're before your eyes You'll come back When they call you No need to say good bye You'll come back When they call you No need t

Future Concert Pianist

Daddy got Zoe a new mini-piano last week and this has become her current favorite toy. Here's Zoe playing Bethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 3rd movement.... :-) ...pausing after playing Chopin's Etudes and Rachmaninov's 3rd concerto as her finale... Wishing!!!

A New Pair for Me

Image
I've delayed buying myself a new pair of eyeglasses even if my current pair is already old-looking and tarnished. Anyway, I saw that Zenni Optical was on FOX news! This made me more eager to buy a new pair for myself since I heard that you can find Great Eyeglasses For Less at Zenni Optical. For a very cheap price, you can have the same quality of frames which anybody would want to own! Now, I think that I'm actually convinced of this that I think I would buy a pair or two of Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni for my Dad too.

Our Wedding Anniv Celebration

Image
October 30 has always been a very special day. It was the day we first talked and got to know each other (it was also Thursday way back 1997). It was also the day we became a couple (actually, he was my bf already in August --or was it July hun?--but we broke up over a month after that and then reconciled only on Oct. 30). Lastly, it was also the day we got married. Here are some pics of the day's highlights. Picture-taking with Zoe before leaving for the office (matching outfits pa yan ha). After work, we went to mass together at the Greenbelt Chapel and then proceeded to Sugi for dinner. The place was packed. Food and service are great. Plus I love it's interiors. They've already decorated the place with Christmas lights. Here's what we ordered. Super sarap and sulit . It was kinda funny because we were seated near this group whose conversations we cannot help but overhear (they talk so loud you know!). I think they were a bunch of people from the movie/tv industry
