You know it's time to lose weight...

...when somebody asks you when you're due when in fact, you've already given birth more than two months ago. YIKES That happened to me the other day. I don't know if the person was just absent-minded or was set to ruin my day. At any rate, I forgive her...but I have yet to forgive myself.

My Reunion with CSI

Image
Though an avid fan, I haven't really followed CSI Vegas for the past months. When I was pregnant before with Zoe, I watched a lot of CSI and actually fancied the character of Sara Sidle and decided to name our baby after her (thus, the name Zara from Sara). However, for the past months, I've haven't followed the show, or any show for that matter, since I've eliminated tv-watching from my schedule. I really prefer sleeping instead of gluing my eyes to the tv during the night. So when my husband just has to watch a little tv before sleeping, he props his earphones so he won't wake us (me and Zoe) up. Recently, however, for some reason, I was awake enough to catch the episode about Warrick Brown being murdered (Season 9, episode 1). Oh, I love it! Too bad, I heard that Gil will also leave by the 10th episode (already aired in the States). After that, I think Dr. Ray Langston will come into the picture. Hmmm...interesting developments. I think I'll be following ...

Update on MIL

Thanks for all of you who said a little pray'r for my MIL. She's doing better now and already went home from the hospital yesterday. But although she's already out of the hospital, our family still continues to pray for her good health. :-) Please also continue to ask for that special intention of our whole family. God bless you all!

Rollercoaster Ride

The past few days have been such a rollercoaster ride! My golly, I have been so busy and feeling not so good. First off, my husband had to be in Baguio for 3 days. Then my sis arrived from WYD Sydney with the sad news that my digital camera got lost in the crowd (hu,hu). And then today, my daughter suddenly got sick with fever and threw up twice (pls. pray she gets well soon!). I'm so worried but I couldn't go on leave na since I already was on leave yesterday to see my sister. And my work in the office is already piling up and I've got so many backlogs na. Whaaaa!

I Heart Josh!

Hubby and I watched the All-Star Game last night in ESPN. The game lasted for about four hours. If I'm not mistaken, for the last time, the game will be held at the historic Yankee Stadium. It's because NY is building a bigger and nicer stadium next to the old one. Tama ba Hun? Dream kasi ni hubby (at ako na rin) na makapunta sa NY to watch MLB. Die-hard Yankee fan kasi sya. :-) Anyway, as part of the tradition, someone sings "God Bless America" before the bottom of the 7th inning (I think). Suddenly, Josh Groban came out and sang it for the people. HE WAS AMAZING! I also love his All-Star 08 shirt with "GROBAN" written at the back! I heart you Josh! Listen...

Where Did Our Bonus Go?

Financial security has always been a priority in our family. Thus, when we received our annual bonus this year, the priority was to pay the annual premiums for our life insurance . While I’ve been insured for several years now, my husband decided only last year to try getting online quotes from various insurance providers. Being a smoker, he’s quite averse to the idea since getting a life insurance might cost more. After getting some background from online quotes, my agent personally discussed with him the options available. He finally availed of a term insurance designed for the head of the family. Around that same time too, I also decided to get a life insurance with discounted premium options for our baby girl. So where did our Christmas bonus go? Most of it is safely tucked away for the benefit of our family.
