I'm so so tempted to go to SMX Convention Center tomorrow night to take a peep at goodies at the 2008 Manila Book Fair. Hope hubby gets off from work early. Wishing, wishing... :-)
I read from Shopcrazy that there will be another Manila International Book Fair at SMX from September 12-16, 2008. The theme is "Words Without Borders". Hahaha! Can't wait. I think i'll prod my diet buddy Shirley to set our monthly meet up at SM MOA again and then make a side trip to the Book Fair! I miss reading so much! I've been so busy with work that haven't gotten the time to open my new books and enjoy myself by reading. I was such a book addict back when I was single. But now with work up to the neck and a baby (read: toddler) to take care of, it's almost impossible to find time to read. So I really hope that I get to buy some new and exciting books soon (real books and not just mags or newspapers). God give me time! For more info, here's the official website: http://www.manilabookfair.com/
...and then some teeth marks... Zoe has learned the art of book-biting. LOL. Notice the bite marks on the upper right hand of the book. Undeniably this is Zoe's favorite book to eat...errr...to read. :-) Good thing I still have an extra copy of this book inside the hard-bound Harper Collins' Treasury of Picture Book Classics which was given to me by my friend Lala. I think I'll hide this one in the cabinet first before she starts to be book-hungry again. :-)
...Pope Benedict XVI's (aka Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger) new book "Jesus of Nazareth". I'm not sure how much it is in National Bookstore but I've been eyeing on buying it online thru Betterworld.com (read about this in Tin's site ). I heard a lot of good feedback about it. So lemme think... Should I order it now? Hopefully I can decide and be able to buy it soon! It will be a great book to start year 2008!
...and oh by the way, I know many of the bookworms out there will probably say that I'm so late in reading this. Well, all I can say is, better late than never!!! At least I got my copy before Christmas for only half the original price at Sketchbooks in Greenbelt 3. What a steal! Love it, love it, love it!
