Hong Kong October 2011 - Day 3
It's been quite a long follow up post but, nevertheless, I really just want to finish up this travelogue.
On our 3rd day in HK, we woke up torn if we will still go to Macau or not. We still have a few more options within the city so we decided to go on our own and just head where our feet will take us.
Our hotel was thankfully very accessible to the train so it was just so easy to go around. Largos Hotel - highly recommended.

First stop was Northpoint Station to go to St. Jude's Church.
It was quite a challenge to go up the street where this church is located but it was worth the walk. My friend M had asked me to go to this church to pray for her intention and so I did. It was great to see a nice church in a not-predominantly Catholic country. :-)
And so after saying our prayers and making our wish, we went around the local community to see what we can see. Fortunately, we stumbled into Marble Market. It was so downtown-y - I loved it! We actually got a couple of dresses and some shirts for the kids here. It's like a small Divi.
Since we got there around lunch - we tried out some of the local delicacies.
We had spicy noodles with pork chop.
We also had my new current fave - sweet and sour pork. Hay - it was heaven!
Anyway, I was wearing the shoes that kinda hurt my feet so when we decided to go back to Central to check out the different malls, I simply had to beg out. We did make it around 1 or 2 malls but I was so distracted with my aching feet that afternoon that I can't practically remember anything or had the interest of taking any pictures. What I remember was that we went back to the hotel after that, rested a little and went back to the night market to check out some more stuff: Giordano, Bossinni, tiangges, and more food!
Love love love this egg tart!
Hunny got this I-don't-know what it's called but people were lining up for it so we tried it and it was good!
After a tiring day in the shops, we met up with our friends C & B again to have dinner. I remember that I was so tired I could barely eat, plus the last place where we had our meal wasn't so good. :-) It was cheap but not good. Hahaha.

Anyway, I guess that's it. The next day was just all about packing, running for our plane and hurrying back to kiss our two kids at home whom we missed so so much! Four days is quite a long time for me to be away from my kids. It felt like four weeks really! And so we promise to bring them with us next time. Definitely there will be a next time.
