Hey friends, care to share some frugal tips? Really need some ideas before I splurge again into another thought-less shopping weekend. Just got the second half of my bonus and I WANT to learn to save it.
http://brainbitsandbeats.blogspot.com/2008/04/pictures-tag.html that's my tag for you. for the advise: pay yourself first which means set aside before going out to shop. 30% is good enough.
Caution: Loaded with pictures!!! Everything was set for Zoe's 2nd birthday party. We initially invited only a few close family and friends but then our guest list ballooned up to more than 60 people on the day before. No regrets because it turned out to be so much fun! First, the FOOD! We asked the help of my SIL to cook kare-kare and kalderata while our Ate Nilda prepared molo soup, spaghetti, hotdog on stick and fruit medley. My Ninang pitched in and made some leche flan while I made peach & mango ref cake and some canapes (with egg salad) which was a HIT (thanks Anne for the tip!). Our birthday cake was from Red Ribbon (best buy!) while the rest of the food (pancit bam-i, fresh lumpia, chicken lollipops, herb-crusted fish fillet) were ordered from ever dependable Conti's. Pictures here: We had some goody bags and party hats for the guests too. The party started at 12 noon with a short prayer and a cheerful happy birthday song for Zoe: Then it was chowtime right
My pregnancy condition did not allow us to celebrate/dine out on our wedding anniversary this year. But Hunny tried to make that day special for us still by making it a pizza and cake night, not just for the the two of us but for the whole family. :-) Love you dad!
