All About my Pregnancy
This is a tag from Abie. Thanks sis.
1. What food did you crave when you were pregnant?
Anything buko: juice, salad, ice cream.
2. Did you gain a lot of weight when you were pregnant?
Yes. A LOT! I gained about 40+ lbs.
3. Did you drink milk when you were pregnant?
Yes, Chocolate powdered milk of Gerber Moms and Magnolia Melon Milk. I couldn’t tolerate just plain milk.
4. How long did you stay in the labor room before your delivery?
Like Abie, I did not go into labor. On my exact due date, after an ultrasound, they decided to do a CS since my amniotic fluid is already very low plus the baby was still suhi.
5. Did you have epidural during labor?
Hmmm. I had a painful anaesthesia injection...which put me to sleep even as I was still talking...zzzz agad promise.
6. How did you give birth?
via CS
7. What was your first reaction when you heard your baby’s cry and saw him/her for the first time?
I didn’t hear her first cry when she came out coz I was in a deep sleep. I only saw her the first time 2 days after when I had enough energy to be brought to the feeding room. My first thought – she’s an angel!!!
8. Prior to that moment when you first held your baby, did you know how to carry a newborn? Nope, not really.
9. Did you take a bath after your delivery?
No. My doctor said I can take a bath na but I couldn’t just yet --only punas-punas. I took a whole bath around 1 week after delivery.
10. How was your first night with your baby like?
As a matter of policy, UST doesn’t allow you to room in your baby unless you plan to let her stay with us all throughout. Since I had gotten so weak because of the operation, my first time to spend the night with the baby was when we had returned home. That was 4 days after I gave birth. She was sooo active right away, in short, I was a busy and puyat na puyat mom.
11. Did you breastfeed your baby?
Yes, for about 2 weeks only. Long story.
12. If you were to pick just one moment from the time you gave birth until the moment you were discharged from the hospital, which do you think is the most special moment for you?
For me, it was when I first saw her not even personally but only through the pic and video which my husband showed me when I woke up from the operation. The OB showed the baby to Hunny right after she was delivered. Imagine, it was Hunny who saw her first and not me.
