On A Wonderful Day Like Today

Actually, what came to my mind when I saw this picture was - What if I also owned a gazzilion shoes like Christina Aguilera, I get pregnant (again) and then never return to my old shoe size (just like what happened to me)????? My feet were 6.5 inches before and now I'm a size 8. Oh well, maybe for Christina Aguilera she can afford to replace all of these damn shoes or at least hire a trainer to be able to return to her old weight and original shoe size. But for me, that's close to being a miracle. Sigh. But then again, maybe owning these beautiful and uber expensive shoes would be reason enough for her. (rationalizing!)

'Tis again the season of Christmas and parents are in a rush trying to find the best Santa gifts to give to their kids. Well, inasmuch as that I'd like to be one with the true spirit of Christmas, it's a bit of an exception when it comes to my kids. We went to all the toy sales in town. Name it, we were there, bwehehehe. Here are some of the 'major major' toy finds that we got (as far as I can remember). Chicco Circus Suprise at 50% off: Barbie Cash Register also at 50% off: Mickey Mouse bike for only 1k: Chicco Talking Driver at 50% off (speaks English and Italian! Hahaha!): Thomas the Train Kiddie Ride On for less than 500 pesos: A kiddie tent with 100 balls (perfect for bahay-bahayan): We also bought lots of toys for our godchildren. But I'll have to keep mum about it unless I want them to find out early on what they're getting for Christmas. Happy shopping everyone!

And it definitely made our party so "Sesame-Streety" and only for half the price. :-) L-R Sesame Street candy-pull (aka pinata), bargain toys from 168 (consists of good ol' yoyos, bubbles sticks, fans, jackstones, plastic wallets, white boards with characters, mini-rubix cubes, and lots more), kiddie lootbags (only 35 pesos each), lootbag contents (Lays, Oreo, Moo chocolate drink), chocolate candies, candy souvenir for each guest, signature frame (only 150 each), bubble gums!

We were one of the early birds to the first day of the Richwell Toy Sale in Libis. Okay sana but the line to the cashier was super duper long...I was so tired to the max! Pero ganun ata talaga ang sacrifice para sa mga gustong makatipid. But I swear, I won't ever fall in line like that ever again. Anyways, here are some of my loots (among other things I bought for my kids). Leapfrog Disney Princess Laptop (Zoe loves it!) Pads for the "milking cow" me. For baby Luigi. For Luigi (again) -- This was a major purchase kaya despite skimping on other stuff, our total cost was super laki pa rin.

I just received a text from Gingersnaps Glorietta 3 (inside Kidz Station I think) that they will be again having another sale starting July 24. Hmm...I hope they'll have lots of nice (and discounted) stuff for Ate Zoe and baby boy. (*grin*)

During a family night out in Serendra last Sunday on my husband's birthday, something from the Jump Store made us jump! We found this cutesy pair of Nike rubbershoes that were perfect for the little girl. I'm sure Zoe will be so happy to be jumping in this colorful pair! I can't wait to troop outside again this weekend with all of us in our Nike shoes! Cute! Cute! Cute!

I literally dragged my husband to HSBC Exclusive Sale at Nuvo City in Libis last Sunday (his birthday). The sale actually started I think last Friday but because of the bad weather, we never got the chance to go there. Anyway, the sale featured several branded stores such as Gap, Banana Republic, Nine West, Prada, Debenhams, Zara, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, among many others. I was on a hunt for some items (with great discounts) for my husband, Zoe and our upcoming baby boy. Right at the beginning, my husband had his eyes on the perfume counter. I think he read this new perfume blog that is why he was so interested in getting a new bottle for perfume. However, the perfume which we tried (I think it was a Hugo Boss) didn't smell good enough for me so we ended up not buying it. I'm sure my husband would have wanted to try out some more perfume brands but the pregnant me had a tendency to get dizzy by the smell of any kind of perfume ~ so tough luck for my husband. Ready or not, Christmas is almost here. People are in a frenzy to finish their Christmas shopping. Sadly, for lack of ideas, some just resort to buying generic gifts which only end up in the basement cabinet, never to be used at all. As some will say, "it's the thought that counts." I just opened the soft file of my 2008 Christmas Gift List and found out that I still have 5-10 people (out of around 80 people) on my list without any Christmas gifts yet. You may say that's easy enough. However, these 5-10 people are the hardest to get gifts for. Why? Because they are my closest family members. Anyway, since I don't have any more free time to go to the mall for the next few days (our duty free shopping experience was not a success, by the way), I am inclined to rely on buying some of the great products As Seen on TV . After my usual noontime mass, I made a dash for the tiangge located just right across our office building. I didn't have anything in mind really but, hey, look at the great stuff (for Zoe) I went home with after just 7-10 minutes of tiangge shopping. Mickey Mouse house slippers (80 pesos) Carters striped tshirt 4T (65 pesos) 3-for-P100 leggings (gray, violet and white) Carters pink pants 2T (65 pesos) Total peso power: P 320.00 Wow! What a steal! I only had to endure some minutes of heat and it paid off so nicely.

Lately I've been fancying on getting myself a new pair of eyeglasses. My old rimless glasses look sad and worn out already. What do you expect? I've been wearing my pair for almost four years already. Imagine, I had them made when I was still very much single and now I'm married for 3 years already and am also now a mother to a two-year old baby girl. To add to that, I recently found out that the astigmatism in my right eye has worsen (blame it on long hours in front of the computer) and I was also told that I already have nearsightedness in my left eye. Anyway, because of this recent development, I told myself that it's high time to get myself a new pair. This time, it won't just be a treat but a necessity. I recently went to the eye doctor to have my eyes checked. It seems that my astigmatism has worsened and I also now am nearsighted. No wonder I always have migraines. Because of this change in my grade, I have been checking out $ 8 Complete Rx Eyeglasses online. Okay. Okay. I'm posting here some more of the other loots we got from the sales we visited last Saturday. This is exclusive of the many, many toys we bought from Toys R Us which we will give to our godchildren. First off, more from the Richwell Sale. Chicco blue rubbershoes for 200 bucks only. Fashion Fever Barbie for an inaanak... Another barbie for Zoe (P150 only) ~ I was so surprised that she knew BARBIE! We have never really played with her other Barbies at home because it says in the box that it's for ages 3 or 4+ only. And being a cautious mom that I am, I don't really intend to open any of the Barbies until Zoe's a little older. We also got to buy some dinosaur toys and other gifts for inaanak. I just needed to hide them agad at baka magustuhan pa ni Zoe. Anyway, after spending a good couple of hours in Richwell, we decided to head straight to Pasig for the Gingersnaps Warehouse Sale. I remember going there a couple of times before with lots of loots after. Howe...

Since Zoe has been a very good girl this year, Santa got the little girl a new Disney Princess tri-bike from Toys R Us and had it packed in a big box and gift-wrapped before it gets discovered. I'm sure Zoe will love it!!! :-)
