Eggheads Christmas Reunion 2007

Pardon if I've been posting too many pics of our holiday celebrations. Over-exposed na mukha namin sa blog na 'to.

Anyway, just a few more kwento. I'm posting about my happenings as much as possible in chronological order so that there's better drift. Pasensya na, this is more for personal consumption rather than for general public viewing. :-)

Last December 30, 2007, the Eggheads aand their families flocked to Gracia's QC house for a pot-luck party. Why Eggheads? It's corny eh. I especially like referring to my "brainy" college friends (from UP Economics) as The Eggheads. Ya know, like when you have a barkada and you give a name to your barkada. The original eggheads were really just Jackie, Lala, Cherry, Gracia and me. We got to know each other at the line for the registration for blocks as freshmen. As some may be familiar, the lines in UP take FOREVER. So on one of those occasions where we registered for a subject, Lala (whose my friend way back from Grade 5) and I got to see Jackie (our HS batchmate), Cherry (who still had bulutong marks pa and came with her Dad!) and Gracia (a petite girl with a wide smile). That started it all. We became constant lunchmates and lib-mates from that time on. We would often sit down at the library steps of our college to study and make chicka. Later on, we got to be closer to Ruby and Edu (and many other friends) too during the last few years of college and after.

We've been friends na pala for 14 long years. Most of us are married na and among those who are single, at least Ruby is now a certified "girlfriend" while Lala is now interested to date. Woohoo!

Here's our class.. errrr barkada picture plus more pictures here.

Many things have changed through the years but there are still some things that remain peculiar to each person. Cherry is still one hour late. Jackie still went home early. Ruby is still bubbly especially now that she's in love. Lala is still water-aversed. Edu is still funny and ma-kwento. Gracia is still so organized. Me? I'm still full of appetite (for new stories? hehehe). By the way, Cherry - you owe me those GCs for my exchange gift. When will we meet for coffee?

I love you guys and hope to see you again for our Tanay outing!
