Happy Valentine's Day to All

I woke up today with a terrible migraine that I decided not to go to work. But dear husband insisted that I try to go on half-day instead. And so I did since my headache slowly subsided that morning. But I really didn't feel like it was a special day because of my headache...

Anyway, when I got to the office around lunch time, I found a nice rose bouquet on my table. I thought it was from my husband, but looking around, I saw that almost everyone in the office had the same bouquet from Tecson. So I learned that it was from one of the big bosses of a subsidiary company. How sweet! As I was trying to settle in my seat, my officemate told me that someone from the lobby called to say that I had a bouquet of flowers for pick-up downstairs. I decided to go down and take a peep of the bouquet which was still enclosed by a paper wrap from Holland Tulips. But since I was rushing to go to mass in the next building, I decided not to bring the flowers up to my office yet (super suspense). When I got back, lookie what I got! :-)




Love it hunny! Thank you! :-) Now I know why you were pushing me to still report for work!

oh so nice and so sweet! tulips are really so wonderful to see. I can't wait to see tulips blooms this springtime just anywhere here in our garden. ur hubby is so sweet...hehhe! for sure nawala ang migraine mo. Hapy valentines pala po.

hi ai! yeah i know! tulips are really nice! although it's kinda ordinary to grow them in europe (nasa tabi-tabi lang din sya ng roads when we went to spain during springtime a few years back), syempre it's different when it comes from the heart. di ba? hope you had a great vday! :-)

Zoe's 2nd Birthday Party!

Caution: Loaded with pictures!!! Everything was set for Zoe's 2nd birthday party. We initially invited only a few close family and friends but then our guest list ballooned up to more than 60 people on the day before. No regrets because it turned out to be so much fun! First, the FOOD! We asked the help of my SIL to cook kare-kare and kalderata while our Ate Nilda prepared molo soup, spaghetti, hotdog on stick and fruit medley. My Ninang pitched in and made some leche flan while I made peach & mango ref cake and some canapes (with egg salad) which was a HIT (thanks Anne for the tip!). Our birthday cake was from Red Ribbon (best buy!) while the rest of the food (pancit bam-i, fresh lumpia, chicken lollipops, herb-crusted fish fillet) were ordered from ever dependable Conti's. Health is Wealth

Health is definitely wealth. It may sound like an old saying but it's true. We've already lost some relatives and friends to cancer and how I wish I could have helped them avoid getting sick or at least to helped them to feel better and get well during those grueling days and months of sickness. One of the bad encounters we've had with cancer was the case of my dear grandmother. I still remember the time my grandmother arrived from the province. I had just seen her a few weeks before that and she was somewhat feeling weak already because of something we didn't know about yet. I guess she couldn't take the pain anymore her so she decided to come to us to get further medical treatment from the doctors here in the city. We immediately had her checked by the doctor and prayed for her to get well.
