On A Wonderful Blogging Day Like Today

As I have been ranting about in my posts since last week, I feel so dead tired from work. My work has been so draining lately that I sometimes want to take off and re-think my purpose in life. Thoughts about finally quitting my job to spend more time with my family have been going over my mind for the longest time but I couldn’t just yet bring myself to compose that dreaded resignation letter because I got too many things to consider.

Today, just when I thought that it’s all bad news at work, there was something in my inbox that made me feel there are still some things to be happy about. PayPerPost (PPP) just approved my blog! Now I got a pretty smile on my face! I only applied late last week so I was surprised that they replied so quickly.

I heard about PPP from my online friends. I have been blogging for some time already but only got seriously addicted to it late last year. Now I love blogging! Blogging for me is such a stress release. It keeps my mind from rusting. It also makes my creative juices coming. And what a magic combination it is to be blogging (which I love doing), earning extra bucks and at the same time helping others in one way or the other. And If I'm diligent enough and practice word of mouth ethics, I just might even go ahead with my resignation if this endeavor propers.

Zoe's 2nd Birthday Party!

Caution: Loaded with pictures!!! Everything was set for Zoe's 2nd birthday party. We initially invited only a few close family and friends but then our guest list ballooned up to more than 60 people on the day before. No regrets because it turned out to be so much fun! First, the FOOD! We asked the help of my SIL to cook kare-kare and kalderata while our Ate Nilda prepared molo soup, spaghetti, hotdog on stick and fruit medley. My Ninang pitched in and made some leche flan while I made peach & mango ref cake and some canapes (with egg salad) which was a HIT (thanks Anne for the tip!). Our birthday cake was from Red Ribbon (best buy!) while the rest of the food (pancit bam-i, fresh lumpia, chicken lollipops, herb-crusted fish fillet) were ordered from ever dependable Conti's. Health is Wealth

Health is definitely wealth. It may sound like an old saying but it's true. We've already lost some relatives and friends to cancer and how I wish I could have helped them avoid getting sick or at least to helped them to feel better and get well during those grueling days and months of sickness. One of the bad encounters we've had with cancer was the case of my dear grandmother. I still remember the time my grandmother arrived from the province. I had just seen her a few weeks before that and she was somewhat feeling weak already because of something we didn't know about yet. I guess she couldn't take the pain anymore her so she decided to come to us to get further medical treatment from the doctors here in the city. We immediately had her checked by the doctor and prayed for her to get well.
