Inside Zoe's Library Part 1
For several weeks now, I have been itching to blog about one-by-one the books which I have bought and regularly read to my daughter. Back in college, I truly enjoyed this elective I took in the UP College of Education. The subject was on Children's Literature and our professor then was Prof. Lina Diaz de Rivera, a Carlos Palance awardee. In one of our projects, she made us annotate at least 30 titles of children's books. Thus, this started my love for reading (and buying) children's books.
So for my initial annotation (and I hope to make this brief), I've decided to feature Zoe's very first cloth book which was a gift from her Ninang Net from the States. This book is one from a series of soft books. It's entitled "Fluffy Chick and Friends".
Zoe loves this book particularly because of the two-dimensional element in the book. It features different textures like a piece of felt cloth for the horse' hair, a towel-like cloth for the chick's body and so on and so forth. The good thing too about this book is that Zoe couldn't tear it apart unlike her other hard books. The words in the story are also written nicely with interesting rhymes.
