On A Wonderful Day Like Today

Hay, just want to rant a little. Hubby will be flying out of town again this afternoon for some business-related activity and will return on Friday afternoon. It has been his nth time there already but doesn't really get to see the sights. It's all work, work, work. The original plan was for Zoe and I to follow him there but I guess that didn't push through. Tsk. Tsk. We've been wanting to get that much needed R&R by booking at Shangri-La Mactan, availing of the Chi Spa and letting Zoe enjoy the sun and the pool. But it seems he couldn't extend his stay since they have another thing to go to this Saturday. So, it crazy. I'm missing both my husband (flying to Cebu in awhile) and my baby (left at home). Ahhh, the things a working mom and wife has to go through. Anyway, I hope the next time he goes, we go too. :-)

Times have indeed changed. We attended another kiddie party yesterday...t'was the 3rd birthday of Christen, youngest of my barkada Johanna. Johanna's house is just a stone's throw away from our house. We basically grew up together as teenagers. Though she's older by about 2 years, we became friends because we're close neighbors... Anyway, this kiddie party turned out to be one of those very seldom barkada reunions. Those who also attended were my good friends Cristy, Jon (with Maine and Gian), Anthony (with his eldest Clarence), Ge and Gigi. We rarely see each other anymore even if they're just close by cause most of us are either busy with work and/or are busy with family and kids. To date, only Gigi and Cristy remain single (does Ge count guys?). Anyway, they apparently bumped into each other in YM prior to the birthday party that's why they were all present. I'm not sure if this is an old thing for the others --- But I recently had a "new" addiction, that is, to Coffee Prince (The 1st Shop), a Korean telenovela that has kept me (and my no-choice hubby) glued to the tv screen up to the wee hours in the morning. To set the record straight, I have never really liked or watched any telenovela in the past, whether Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Pinoy or what have you. But after hearing about the raves of my officemates (that's you Jona, Sha and Glen!) about Coffee Prince (and seeing them drooling over this chinky-eyed guy), I decided to watch it too during the recent long weekend holiday that we had. I think I have never watched tv THAT long, as in 3 hours straight or even more I think!!! Coffee Prince is so addicting. Hahaha! Gong Yu, who plays the main character, is sooo cute.
